This is an update regarding the safety and security procedures implemented this morning when an envelope containing an unknown powder and a note was received in the Admissions and Enrollment Services area (lower level) of the Library Building, 350 Victoria St.

Preliminary results from the testing of the powder are inconclusive, and Ryerson agrees with the Toronto Police Services that maximum precautionary measures should be taken, including decontamination of individuals in the quarantined area.  The decontamination is being set up and we will keep the Ryerson community informed as more information becomes available.

There is no cause for concern in any other area of campus.
